  • Online surf video analysis means you send in video clips of your surfing, and a surf coach with more than 20 years of experience analyzes your technique and gives you personal feedback. You find out what’s holding your surfing back and exactly what to work on, wherever you surf in the world.

  • You get a personal video analysis of your surfing, with technical coaching on what to improve. The analysis is a digital video that you can watch on an online platform. In it, you see yourself surf while I explain in a voice-over what you’re doing well, what to improve and how to fix it. I often place clips of professional surfers next to yours, so you can see exactly what you’re working towards. At the end of each analysis, you get key tips and learn how to practice them in the water. Through the platform, you can also contact me for ongoing coaching and follow-up questions.

  • A single surf video analysis costs €150. A single analysis is also included with the yearly subscription of The Surf Technique Blueprint, which just costs €199. With every surf video analysis purchase you can send 10-20 surf clips of yourself and all clips get analyzed.

  • You film your surfing and send in your clips. Your coach then analyzes your technique and sends you your personal surf video analysis, which you can watch through an online platform. You get clear tips and a structured approach on how to improve during your next surf sessions. Through the platform you have direct contact with your coach to ask further questions.

  • Yes. Video shows things you can’t feel or see in the water, like your stance, timing and where you lose speed. Your coach points out what to change and what to practice, so you stop guessing and start improving faster. Surfers often get the biggest gains from fixing one or two key details taught by a surf coach.

  • Yes. Beginners benefit a lot because small technique problems, like your pop-up or paddling, are easier to fix early than after they become habits. You don’t need previous experience, and your feedback fits your level.

  • Absolutely. Intermediate and advanced surfers often get stuck on small details, like timing, body position or the way they link turns. A video analysis shows exactly what’s holding you back and what to change to reach the next level.

  • You can send up to 20 clips per surf video analysis.

  • Ask a friend or partner to film a few of your waves, and return the favor by filming some of theirs. Modern phones have cameras that are good enough for surf video analysis. If you surf at a wave pool, set up a tripod with your phone beside the pool and film your entire session. Some pools also have a built-in camera system that films your waves, and you can buy the footage after your session.

  • Usually you receive your surf video analysis within a week after you send your clips. It can take longer during busy periods.

  • You watch your analysis online through a platform where you get your own personal account. In the platform, you can also chat with me directly to ask follow-up questions. The platform is free to use, and your surf video analysis stays available to watch as often as you like.

  • Your surf video analysis is available for lifetime access. You can watch it as often as you like before and after your surf sessions.

  • Yes. Your coach analyzes your technique whether you ride a shortboard, mid-length or longboard, including longboard maneuvers such as nose riding.
